Introductory Session with Mr.Rahul Thangeda

We all know that Mr.Rahul Thangeda is an alumnus and a Ph.D scholar here at School of Management,NIT Warangal.One of the former Abhiyan Secretaries and a dedicated member of SOM Abhiyan,he has had a good experience of the activities and the way Abhiyan should be conducted.He welcomed all the students and addressed them talking about the strong foundation of Abhiyan and how one can take help from the activities in sharpening their skills and developing a good personality.Every learning that he imparted was through the mode of small stories and the learnings that come with the experiences in daily life. Stories and Quotes are few excellent methods of conveying message,morals and imparting knowledge as is traditional from the olden days in Gurukuls according to the Indian tradition.Team Abhiyan is thankful to Mr.Rahul for giving us some of his precious time that will help the first year students to build up the pace of learning and cultivate a positive attitude towards every event and activity of SOM.

July 28th, Team Building Activity

Must say,it was not an easy task to perform.All the students were divided into three groups and all of them stood in a line.The foot of the person infront was tied to the other person behind him.,and thus they formed a long chain.A destination was fixed and the object to be claimed was kept there.The team that took minimum time was rewarded.They had to move together,through the winding chair and table arrangement in classroom with a lot of hurdles in between.Some constraints with a set of rules were given.It brought out the most significant traits of a teamwork.

July 27th,Opening Session of Abhiyan Club in the fresh Academic Year 2011-2012

Well, hello everyone.Yes the opening session was quite a very goodone.There was and opening speech made by the Joint Secretary of Abhiyan and they later she was accompanied by the other Executive members.They gave everyone an insight into what is ABHIYAN and why it is a part of every memeber of SOM,where every aspect of it is dealt by the students themselves.After that there was a fulltime introduction session of introduction session of the new students ( 1st years) all of them were invited on the stage and presented little tasks as per their interests.Good times with the interaction between all the students of SOM.Hope you all will take this sportingly,enjoy,and a little seriously,because it is this Abhiyan that will give you the REAL PLATFORM to sharpen all your soft skills.
