" The greatest remedy for anger is delay " - lucius Annaeus Seneca
Today after the news reading session by our own students the Abhiyan has planned an interesting on spot event called "EXPRESS YOURSELF". This event was very much like a Jam session but the topics given were on the spot. The students had 15 seconds of time to think any stuff about the relavent topic and go ahead with the topic and speak about it nonstop for about 5 minutes.
All students took an active participation in this event and made it a success. Abhiyan wishes to conduct many more interesting on spot and off spot events to impart more of learning skills and there by help ourselves in knowing the jist of why we are here to make a difference as managers.

DID YOU KNOW...!!!
TEAM BUILDING
Team Building refers to a wide range of activities, presented to businesses, schools, sports teams, religious or nonprofit organizations designed for improving team performance. Team building is pursued via a variety of practices, and can range from simple bonding exercises to complex simulations and multi-day team building retreats designed to develop a team (including group assessment and group dynamic games), usually falling somewhere in between.
Team building exercises consist of a variety of tasks designed to develop group members and their ability to work together effectively. The purpose of team building exercises is to assist teams in becoming cohesive units of individuals that can effectively work together to complete tasks.

Extempore...Challenging Forethoughts..

Thought Of The Day:

“Be moderate in order to taste the joys of life in abundance.”
- Epicurus

DID YOU KNOW...!!!
EXTEMPORE
Ex tempore (Latin for "out of the moment“) has two meanings:
i) "Extempore" or "ex tempore" refers to a stage or theater performance that is carried out without preparation or forethought. Most often the term is used in the context of speech, singing and stage acting.Synonyms are "impromptu", "extemporaneous", or "improvised".

ii) "Ex tempore" is a legal term that means 'at the time'. A judge who hands down a decision in a case soon or straight after hearing it is delivering a decision ex tempore. An ex tempore judgment, being off the cuff, does not entail the same preparation as a reserved decision. Consequently, it will not be thought out to the same degree.

Emotional Intelligence...The Behavior Control

Thought Of The day:
“False words are not only evil in themselves,

but they infect the soul with evil.”

- Plato

DID YOU KNOW WHAT IS....??

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Emotional intelligence (EI) is the ability, capacity, skill or, in the case of the trait EI model, a self-perceived ability to identify, assess, and control the emotions of oneself, of others, and of groups.EQ - is a relatively recent behavioral model, rising to prominence with Daniel Goleman's 1995 Book called 'Emotional Intelligence'. The early Emotional Intelligence theory was originally developed during the 1970s and 80s by the work and writings of psychologists Howard Gardner (Harvard), Peter Salovey (Yale) and John 'Jack' Mayer (New Hampshire). Emotional Intelligence is increasingly relevant to organizational development and developing people, because the EQ principles provide a new way to understand and assess people's behaviors, management styles, attitudes, interpersonal skills, and potential. Emotional Intelligence is an important consideration in human resources planning, job profiling, recruitment interviewing and selection, management development, customer relations and customer service, and more.
